Public Scholarship

Dr. Cabrera is a publicly-engaged scholar who has given hundreds of keynotes and trainings throughout the country including at over 50 colleges and universities and several grassroots organizations.

Dr. Cabrera’s work has been covered in the mass media more than 200 times in outlets as diverse as Huffington PostChronicle of Higher Education, Fox News, Flashpoints (KPFA Free Speech Radio), BreitbartSpeakOut! With Tim Wise (podcast), and NBC News.  He was the only academic to appear in the MTV documentary White People, and he has also written for outlets such as Al Jazeera America, Inside Higher Ed., and Diverse Issues in Higher Education.
